1. Pancake Day!
Students tasted pancakes with strawberry jam
and syrup. We graphed our favorite and wrote an
opinion paper on it. We will finish the other activities
on Wednesday. This is from my Pancake mini unit.

2. Shining Star Party
Students earned a party and chose to play games.
They earn 1 shining star if everyone stays on green
or above on our clip chart. They also can earn
them for big compliments from other teachers
and this week I awarded them 2 shining stars for
every MAP test they all increased on. I didn't tell
them ahead of time they would earn stars but
when everyone increased, I wanted to reward them
and this gave us enough stars to have a party!
Obviously this wasn't a day we earned a shining star!

Students brought in
a sleeping bag, flashlight,
books and a drink!
I supplied the smores!
I also found campfire sounds
on youtube and played it
while the students camped.
Prepping for surgery!
First we prepped our supplies and
apostrophe band-aid (cut out the band-aid).
We recorded the patient's name (can not).
We prepped the patient (cut the two words in half).
We performed the surgery (cut out the letters not needed).
We disposed of the waste in the surgical baskets on the desks.

We glued the patient back together,
using a "band-aid" to cover the wound.
Surgery was a success!
