1. Fairy Tales

When we arrived at school Monday
morning, this had grown out of our
floor and into our ceiling!

We began our study of fairy tales!

We started with Jack & the Beanstalk.

I swapped Fairy Tale units with
Elizabeth from Kickin' it in Kindergarten!

Kickin it in Kindergarten

It is exactly what I needed!
It has graphic organizers, writing
activities, it is loaded I tell you!

We will be continuing fairy tales
next week due to our snow day!

It is a perfect compliment to my
fairy tale/fractured fairy tale unit!

2.  Plants

This is a perfect time to study plants.
Fit right in with Jack and the Beanstalk!

3. Numbers 1-120

We had a Survivor Challenge today!
Students worked together to complete
this 1-120 puzzle. It was so fun!
They worked so well together and
were so excited and cheered each
other on! They had rules to follow, such as
the numbers had to be touching and
they couldn't put numbers down out of order!

How many licks will it take to

It took an average of 400 licks!

4. Snow Day!

I drive 10 miles to work.
I was already there when I
got the text that we were cancelled.
I got a little bit of work done
but spent too much time visiting with
other teachers who got the late text too!

BUT!!!!!!!!
I am so glad I did!
The mail came and I got a
check in the mail!!!!!!!!
I applied for a grant from our
Development Corporation
and was awarded $547.50
to pay for 5 years of BrainPop Jr.
for my classroom!!!

Can you tell I am excited!?!

5. A GIANT Blood Sucking Tick in MY Hair

Just disgusting! I haven't had a tick in my
hair since I was a child! This one had been
there for a few days and I don't know how
I didn't know it! I am still checking my scalp!

Funny From a Honey

I had another eye issue. If you have followed for
awhile, there have been several instances
involving my eyes this year. Anyway, something
was going on with my left eye and it hurt, so I kept rubbing it.  Rubbed all the eyeliner off, took out
the contact and left it out because my eye was swollen.  Moving on, I went next door and asked
a teacher if she had any eyeliner, (I felt naked without it!) and she said no she didn't, but one of her girls
jumped up all excited and said,
"Yes she does, yes she does! Right here!"
She ran over and grabbed a highlighter!

Thanks for stopping by!
