The Gingerbread Man Ran!

While a Gingerbread Man hunt is fun,
it isn't necessarily common core...

SO...

I made a little making predictions
booklet so I can now say,
Why yes, this IS a common core activity!

Classroom Freebies Manic Monday
Click the cover for your freebie!

I am so excited about this product
I just made! I will have our classroom
elf bring one back from the North Pole
each day of the week, starting Monday.
If you don't have a classroom elf, you
can just have them delivered to your classroom.

Click here to check it out!

There are 5 10 original "newspapers"
included in this packet and I am
working on more. I plan to have 10.

UPDATE!

All 10 are finished and in the product!

I was very excited to find this linky!
I am always looking for new ideas
and love to share mine!

Here are a few pics from last years
visit from our elf! He brought red candy
canes, which the Grinch licked green!
Fortunately, Santa sent new red ones!

Click here for last years post and links
to some more Gingerbread Man activities!
There are several, including a missing poster
for the Gingerbread Man.

I picked up a couple of these
little guys last year on clearance and
froze them. Makes things a little
easier! I was making homemade
gingerbread dough and making
my own gingerbread men to run
away each year but this simplifies
things! We don't eat this Gingerbread
Man. I buy small cookies for the students
to decorate and eat.

I created a couple of new products
to use in my classroom for math early
finishers...or just to take a break and
have a little extra Christmas fun!
Click each of the covers to
check them out in my TpT store!

I love teaching inference and the
Disney Pixar short films are a fun
and engaging way to add to our lessons.
I created a few graphic organizers to
go with several of these short films.

Thanks for stopping by!

Ready, Set, ACTION! Verbs that is!

Here's just a few of the verb activities
we have been doing!
Keep reading for a FUN activity one of my cuties
invented the other day!
Brainstorming Verbs

Sure wish I could make my charts adorable like the ones
all over the teacher blog world and pinterest!

We did our Gingerbread Unit and this product
from Christie at First Grade Fever
was PERFECT!

On the last day of our Gingerbread Man unit,
guess who we finally found?!?!
There he was sitting in our hallway!
He even left Gingerbread Men for us to eat as our
first batch of Little Debbie Gingerbread Men were sadly
destroyed earlier in the week in a science experiment,
"What happens when the Gingerbread Man gets wet?"
*Note the Missing posters in the background!
These posters were hung all over our elementary.

Check out the  missing poster and a
couple of other freebies in my tpt store!
 Check them out
here , here, and here!

Maybe I should have put them all into one product, huh?!?!

Anyway, one last plug for the
Gingerbread Man and my products!

Click here for a narrative writing activity!

NOW to the fun activity my student created!
We watched this youtube video on verbs.

(Sounds like Dr. Jean??)

My student then says, "Hey!  I have a game for us!
We can get with a partner and take turns
clapping and saying:

Student 1
How about you?
What can you do?

Student 2
I can (insert verb)

It was a BLAST!
They do the clapping and actions , just like in the video!
They loved it and my student was so proud he invented it!
