Hall Pass Linky

Reagan from
Tunstall's Teaching Tidbits
is hosting this fun linky!
Click on the hall pass above
to get out of class and
link up to share a fave from
your products, areas,
signals and sanity savers!

Product-I feel the same way as
Reagan! My favorite product is whatever
I have just made or am using in the
classroom.  So I put my best seller here!

Point of View and Other Common Core Activities Using Fairy Tales

& just have to add my newest!

Area- Hands down the
kiddos favorite place!
THE LOFT!

I love the loft too but I also
really love my safari jeep!
The students sit here for
Read to Self and Read to Someone.

Signal-My favorite signal
and one that ALWAYS works is
I say "Class Class"
They say "Yes Yes"
in the same tone of voice.

I say "Classity Class"
They day "Yessity Yes"

I say "Class a doodle doo"
They say "Yes a doodle doo"

I am sure you get the idea!
You can say so many different
things and use so many different
tones of voices!

BUT here is the real magic!
After we do this, I say
"Hands and eyes!"
And their hands are clasped
in front of them and
their eyes are on me!
NO TALKING!
LOVE IT!!
I think it is from Whole Brain Teaching!

I will get a picture tomorrow!

Gotta say though,
I can not wait to use
Reagan's
"CleeeeeeEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeee
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeen up!

Sanity-Popping into the classroom
next door to laugh or vent is my sanity
saver! We keep each other from
going cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs!
The occasional popcorn and M&M break
(always after school)
 is also a must!

Thanks for stopping by!

  4. How cool! Obviously, I love the loft. I can't see the custodians or the fire marshall in my district letting one of those slip by though. How have you managed?

  6. I said the same thing for my signal! ;) The kids go instantly quiet when I say hands and eyes...I just started doing whole brain stuff a few weeks ago and I wish I would have done it from the beginning!

  8. I can't add enough LOVES for the loft. My husband built one for me in college (before he was my husband, of course.) I would love for him to build one in my classroom, but they move us so often. The longest I have stayed in 1 room is 3 years.
