They are in power point so you
can edit how many students tall.
We learned all about the Statue of Liberty!
We found out it is her nose and it is 4 1/2 feet long!
Students compared their height to the nose.
We learned the Statue of Liberty
is 151 feet long. We measured that
distance so we would have an idea
how tall that is. I then had the
kiddos lay down so we could see
how many kids tall she is. I didn't
have enough 1st graders,
so I borrowed the 2nd graders!
We discovered she is 38 kids tall!
Halfway there!

ReplyDeleteHow fun! What a great idea for celebrating the Statue of Liberty's birthday. We do a little something each year, and I will be adding this to the next birthday celebration!
