Back to School Peek at My Week



I tried to get pictures of everything
we do the first week of school...
I really did! But... I forgot to take 
pictures of so many things!

Here are a few pictures though,
with some freebies and fun ideas!

bookmark and eraser.




Back to school safari:
Students hunt for mini plastic
safari animals.

reading the Kissing Hand.

Decorating our book boxes
from IKEA.



Show what you know throw!
Students wrote in a friend's name,
crumpled the paper, threw it into
the air, grabbed a new paper and
wrote a new name.  No repeats
were allowed. This was great for
recognition of names!

Group project!
Building the tallest tower.
I gave each student 5 large
marshmallows and a cup full
of mini marshmallows.  Each group
got a handful of toothpicks and
the fun began!

  1. This was an interesting post! I want to know more about your marshmallow activity. Did you give the students a set amount of marshmallows and toothpicks? Did they record their work on paper later? It looks like your students had an amazing first week back to school!
