Why a Disguise?

One of the authors we

study in 1st grade is 

Laura Numeroff.

You probably know her

"If You Give a..." stories,

but have you heard this one?!

This little boy does not want

to do many, many things,

so he wears his disguise!

Each year after I read this,

I pass out mustache and glasses

disguises for the students.

I get them at Oriental Trading.

They write an opinion paper

about the best place to wear a 

disguise.  They get to wear 

their glasses all day.

No one recognizes them
(we have some great adult pretenders!)

and they think it is hilarious!
